EstablishedÌýinÌýJanuary 2026, the Office of Academic Affairs Budget & Strategy was created to bring together financial planning, strategic analysis, and operational support into a single collaborative team serving the Academic Affairs Branch.Ìý
The Office of Academic Affairs Budget & Strategy serves as the central financial planning and strategy office for the Academic Affairs Branch. We partner with colleges, schools, and administrative units to support thoughtful decision-making, align resources with institutional priorities, and develop sustainable financial strategies that advance the University’s academic mission.Ìý

Our office leads the annual budget development process and provides ongoingÌýfinancial managementÌýthroughout the fiscal year. We work collaboratively with colleges, schools, and administrative units to develop sustainable budgets,ÌýmonitorÌýfinancial performance, and adapt to changing institutional needs.Ìý
Faculty Compensation & Workforce PlanningÌý
We support strategic personnel planning by providing guidance on faculty compensation, position funding, workforce planning, and salary analysis. Working closely with academic leadership and Human Resources, we help ensure compensation decisions areÌýequitable, competitive, and aligned with university policies and long-term financial planning.Ìý
Financial Analysis & Decision SupportÌý
We provide financial modeling, data analysis, and decision support that help leaders evaluate new initiatives, understand fiscal impacts, andÌýidentifyÌýopportunities to strengthen Academic Affairs. Our work connects financial information with enrollment trends, academic priorities, and organizational goals.Ìý
Academic Affairs Planning & OperationsÌý
In addition to strategic planning, our office coordinates many of the recurring financial processes that support the daily operation of Academic Affairs. We oversee planning cycles related toÌýthe University’s budget model,Ìýaffiliate faculty, compensation planningÌýand processes, sabbaticals, reassigned time, and other branch-wide financial activities to ensure consistency, transparency, and effective resource management.Ìý
Data, Reporting & Planning ToolsÌý
We develop andÌýmaintainÌýfinancial reports, planning tools, dashboards, and standardized processes that support consistent decision-making across Academic Affairs. By integrating systems such as Workday, Adaptive Planning,ÌýOffice ConnectÌýand institutional reporting resources, we help leaders accessÌýtimely,ÌýaccurateÌýfinancial information.Ìý
Our work depends on strong collaboration across the University. We partner closely with institutional offices to ensure Academic Affairs financial planning aligns with university priorities, financial policies, compliance requirements, and operational practices.Ìý
