Introducing Amelia Yeats, a Marketing Student that has joined our Fall 2026 CBUS Student Ambassador Program

My name is Amelia, and I鈥檓 in my final year at 海角直播 Denver as a Marketing major. I鈥檝e been more involved than ever in campus activities, and it has been incredibly rewarding getting to know so many wonderful students and staff here. I鈥檓 also the VP of Human Resources for Pi Sigma Epsilon and a student committee member with the Society for Marketing Professional Services.
What does a typical day look like for you during the semester?
I typically pack my classes into two days of the week, so this year I鈥檓 on campus for classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Mondays dedicated to extracurricular activities. I also love making time to hang out with friends and my boyfriend, whether it鈥檚 around campus or exploring downtown Denver.
What brought you to 海角直播 Denver?
I聽originally wanted to attend 海角直播 Denver because of its downtown location, but after experiencing the campus culture, I fell in love with the community and the people who make it so special.
What area of business are you most passionate about?
I鈥檓 most passionate about marketing. The more I put myself out there through networking events, internships, and classes, the more I realize just how many different paths there are within the marketing world. Right now, I鈥檓 especially interested in proposals and marketing within the construction industry, and I鈥檓 excited to continue exploring where that path could take me.
What’s your favorite 海角直播 of Business memory so far?
Co-founding the Rowdy Minds Marketing Agency was such a cool experience because it gave me a firsthand look at what it takes to build a marketing agency from the ground up. I got to be involved in all the little decisions that go into creating a business, from the very first steps to bringing everything together. The lessons and experience I gained from that class will be incredibly valuable after graduation.
What’s one piece of advice for new students? And/or what’s something you wish you knew before college?
Get involved with as many opportunities as you can that interest you. Say yes to professional development opportunities that come your way, whether it鈥檚 an industry networking event, a club on campus, or even getting to know the people you鈥檙e assigned to work with on a group project. There are so many ways to get involved, and each experience can meaningfully contribute to your future.
