If you recently attended another college and had financial aid there for the same academic year, you may see a requirement asking you to cancel your aid at your previous institution. 海角直播 Denver cannot disburse your aid until you have canceled aid at your previous school.
To cancel aid at your previous institution:
- Contact your previous school’s Financial Aid Office to cancel any scheduled or pending aid.
- You do not need to submit documents to 海角直播 Denver unless instructed otherwise.
If your previous school has not canceled your aid and/or it isn’t reflected within the federal system, 海角直播 Denver will request additional information.
After submitting your FAFSA/CASFA, additional documents may be required. The U.S. Department of Education may compare FAFSA information with select federal records to confirm the information submitted. If items need clarification, 海角直播 Denver may request additional documentation.
Financial aid cannot be finalized or disbursed until all requirements are complete.
Your Cost of Attendance (COA) is NOT your bill. It is important to understand both.
COA is an estimated cost of attending college for the academic year used to determine financial aid eligibility. Your COA includes:

- Fees
- On-campus housing (if applicable)
- Indirect Costs (not billed)
- Books and supplies
- Transportation
- Personal expenses
- Off-campus housing and food

- Some grants require 12+ credits (full-time status)
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is a federal financial aid requirement that evaluates your academic performance, including your GPA, course completion rate, and progress toward earning your degree. You must meet these standards to remain eligible for most financial aid.
- Follow the Mandatory Participation Policy
- Students who do not participate may be administratively dropped, which can adjust financial aid and create a balance owed.
Before dropping or withdrawing from classes, you should contact the Office of
Financial Aid and Scholarships to understand how your aid may be affected.
- Dropping courses before census may reduce your aid.
- Withdrawing from all courses may require you to return federal aid funds back to the institution.
