Zandra聽Walker, Aviation Management Major
Colorado Science & Technology Policy Program Summer Scholar
Zandra Walker is pursuing a degree in Aviation and Aerospace Management at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Raised in a small mountain community in Colorado, her interest in aviation and public service was shaped by firsthand experiences with wildfires and emergency response.
Zandra served as Treasurer of the Women in Aviation International 海角直播 Denver chapter, where she supports outreach, fundraising, and student engagement. In 2025, she represented her chapter at the Women in Aviation International Conference, connecting with industry professionals and expanding her understanding of aviation career pathways. She has been an 海角直播 Denver Space Tech Scholar and has gained experience through aviation volunteer work and glider flight training.聽Zandra聽has also lived and worked abroad in Paraguay, developing cross-cultural communication skills and building Spanish language proficiency.
Zandra聽is passionate about public service and hopes to contribute to policy solutions that improve access, safety, and resilience in aviation and transportation systems, particularly for rural and underserved communities. She is particularly interested in the intersection of aviation, public policy, and emerging technologies, including urban air mobility and the future of transportation systems.
