About the Accommodated Testing Office

The Access Center’s Accommodated Testing Office (ATO) offers in-person proctoring for students with approved exam accommodations. Some features of the ATO include:

a limited-distraction room with 21 individual seats.
8 individual private rooms.
assistive technology software, including Read&Write and JAWS.

PLEASE NOTE

The ATO offers exam proctoring only for students approved for exam accommodations through the Access Center. Students needing to schedule an exam who are not registered with the Access Center or not approved for exam accommodations should instead schedule with the Office of Testing Services in Tivoli.

Our Testing Space

We have 12 lockers for students to securely store their belongings during exams.

Our Limited Distraction space has 21 seats with dividers. Two white noise machines operate within the space to further assist with limiting distractions within the room.

Our 8 private rooms are available to students with the approved accommodation. Each has a single desk with a closable door. Most rooms additionally have a desktop computer to facilitate online exams or other computer-based accommodations.

Students should bring all materials they will need for their exam. To aid with the exam experience, we can additionally provide students the following:

ear plugs
noise cancelling headphones
stress balls
